Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal data, and the rights you have.

Last updated · 31 August 2026

1. Who is responsible for your data

Meridia Group Bank, 14 Place Kléber, 67000 Strasbourg, France, is the controller responsible for the personal data processed through this platform. For any privacy question, contact privacy@meridia-bank.test.

2. Data we process

Depending on how you use the service, we process:

  • Identity data — first and last name, date of birth, and the identity-document number and document image you upload at registration;
  • Contact data — e-mail address and, where provided, postal address and phone number;
  • Account data — your account number, balance and the language you choose;
  • Transaction data — transfers, cards, loan and financing requests, and the statements generated from them;
  • Technical data — sign-in timestamps, IP address and session information used to keep the service secure.

3. Why we use it and our legal bases

We use your data to:

  • create and administer your account and provide the features you request — performance of our agreement with you;
  • verify your identity and prevent fraud and abuse — our legitimate interest and legal obligations;
  • send service messages such as security and transaction notifications — performance of our agreement;
  • keep records and respond to lawful requests — compliance with legal obligations.

4. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, such as hosting and e-mail delivery, and with authorities where the law requires it.

5. International transfers

Our infrastructure is located in the European Union. If any processing takes place outside the European Economic Area, it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open and then only for as long as needed to meet legal, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Uploaded identity documents are kept only while needed to verify your account.

7. Your rights

Subject to the conditions set out in data-protection law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority — in France, the CNIL.

8. How we protect it

We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords and validation codes, strict access controls and audit logging. See our Security page for more detail.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version and significant changes are highlighted in the application.
